One of the best things about getting hitched is that you get to design your own wedding materials. And if you're insisting that your guests travel halfway across the Atlantic Ocean to celebrate in Iceland, everything needs to be extra special.

We wanted to get the attention of our guests from day one, and the time-lapse Save the Date video certainly did the trick. We created a website, complete with suggested activities and itineraries to help our friends and families plan their adventures. The design system is—naturally—a blend of our two personalities and interests: from pairing English and American type families, to hand carving signage and knitting far too many gifts.

We fell in love with Iceland during our scouting trip and decided to incorporate traditional Icelandic design motifs throughout. The project features many hand made "labors of love" such as letterpressed printed materials, laser engraved beech wood invites, our own photobooth. We had a blast, even if we didn’t sleep for an entire year.
